Weekend Changes to the Late Show

Its another weekend and it seems to have gone so fast since the Bank Holiday last week. Sunday night will see the start of the Late Night phone in and debate brought forward to a new time of 11pm. The Bradshaws

The Bradshaws feature prominently in Abbey FMs late show twice nightly and this weekend I have the chance to meet the creator of the characters, chat with him and see the show.

Whats On Guide

Alphabet Artists

An hour of artists beginning with A, then tomorrow its artists beginning with B then C then D and so on. Music from artists as well as finding out a little bit about them starts from 11pm tonight. Also look out for the website review of the day and The Bradshaws as all part of the late show.

Another Bank Holiday already

Standing in for Mark on Afternoon Drive for a Bank Holiday Monday with the biggest jukebox ever on the radio. All music chosen by you. I`ll be there from 2pm so text, email or phone your requests through to the studio and sit back and chill on a Bank Holiday Monday with some great tunes.

Its the Whitsuntide Bank Holiday Weekend so join me tonight @10 for some great tunes to chill out to. The normal features of the late shows are back to normal on Tuesday.

The Bank Holiday Weekend starts here

Its another Bank Holiday weekend and that means another game of musical chairs so to speak. Thats when the presenters change around and we all cover each others shows. As for me this weekend I will still be there for the Retro Dance Party from 10pm tonight and you can email, text or phone your bank holiday dedications in.

Monday coming you will find me having a well deserved night off the late show as I will be presenting Afternoon Drive between 2pm and 6pm with every song played being one chosen by a listener. Then Tuesday, things go back to normal.

Allan Hannath acoustic session

Live from studio 1 at Abbey FM, playing acoustically is Allan Hannath from Ambleside. Allan played his music and talked about what he does and enjoyed the acoustic session.

Changes to the late show

As mentioned in an earlier post, things are changing a little on the late show. Between 11pm and Midnight, its "Alphabet Artists". One night we play an hour of artists beginning with A then next night B then C and so on and you can also choose the artists that we will showcase and talk about on the show. It all starts Monday 2nd June

late Night Phone In

Sundays late night phone in and debate this week will be the last one starting at midnight.
Next week there will be a break for the Bank Holiday weekend as things change around again and the following Sunday (1st June) The late night phone in and debate moves to a new time of 11pm.

Dave Duffins Acoustic Experiences

Dave Duffin played live in the studios at Abbey FM together with "George". They played an acoustic session consisting of their own material as well as a few cover versions.

More on the new look late show

Its on the way just after the next Bank Holiday. The acoustic hour and Juke Box remain as they are due to being very popular but the bit in between from 11pm changes,

Monday to Thursday - The A - Z of artists. More information soon,

Sunday Nights from 11pm things change as we cut the love songs from 2 hrs to one hour and start the late night phone in an hour earlier.

It all changes the Tuesday after the next Bank Holiday Monday

New sound of the late show

The new sound of the late show on Abbey FM is imminent.

The acoustic hour and promoting the local music scene will still be between 10pm and 11pm Monday to Thursdays so if you can play and sing acoustically then get in touch with me and we could be promoting you and your music on the show.

After 11pm it`s all change for a new feature which will be starting very soon and I just need to produce the shows output and will be making an announcement soon as to what it is.

The shows affected will be Sunday to Thursday, leaving Friday Night as it is.

Bird of Prey

John Reynolds (under the name of Bird of Prey) travelled from Lancaster to play live acoustically and talk about his music on Abbey FMs acoustic hour. John performed very well and the interview can be downloaded HERE
